After their previous band called it a day, Josh Coyne and Scott Dillon took a long break from writing music. Last year they picked it up again, recording demos in Leicester. After releasing a track under the name ‘Parish’, they started to believe it could become something quite rewarding. ‘Chief Springs’ – a music project and fictional public space – was created. An exciting aspect of the experience for the pair has been the opportunity to collaborate with friends on something. So, for the music recorded over the last year, they have had contributions from members of Alessi’s Ark, Father John Misty and Maybeshewill. Since their first spell in the studio, they have called upon friends Tommy, Dale and Sam to form a group. They are currently working on more new, expansive material.
